Jon Wexler Explains Why Yeezy Boosts Are So Limited

adidas’s Global Director of Entertainment & Influencer Marketing, Jon Wexler sat down with Power 105.1’s Breakfast Club morning talk show to market Boost technology, as well as answer a few questions like, why are the Yeezy Boost so limited?

Getting right into things, the interview covers beef between other brands, and when asked why the Yeezys are so limited, he replied by saying due to the different technologies like Boost and Primeknit, there are only so many pairs at a time that can be produced.

“It takes X amount of time to sew those sneakers together, and we can only get so much of this Boost material from NASA.”

The latest design of the Nike Air Force 1 Low is now beginning to release as part of the more stylish Nike Air Force 1 LV8 series.

This version of the silhouette sports a full “Concord” color scheme that features a smooth leather upper with glossy detailing and the use of woven material hitting the toe area and side panels. The shoe is broken up with White branding and matching rubber outsole.

Tinker Hatfield’s beloved Nike Air Huarache silhouette has become one of everyone’s go to sneakers when it comes to everyday wear, and Nike Sportswear continues to debut brand new colorways each month.

The latest pair set to release is dressed in a mixture of Beta Blue, Anthracite, and Wolf Grey. The shoe features a full Beta Blue-based upper with Cool Grey underlays and hints of Anthracite throughout.

Nike Air Max 1 Pinnacle Collection

Nike Sportswear will be debuting their newest “Pinnacle” Collection that includes a trio of tonal colored Nike Air Max 1 releases.

Each of these three Nike Air Max 1 colorways come dressed in either Black, Light Bone, or Grey. The Light Bone and Grey pair are completed dressed in their respective colors from sole to tongue, while the Black pair sports a contrasting off-White sole.

Tinker Hatfield x Nike Kobe 11

The Nike Kobe 11 will be Kobe Bryant’s 11th signature shoe for the upcoming 2015-2016 NBA Season.

According to @baltsneakershow, Tinker Hatfield, who is one of the most popular and innovative athletic shoe designer is set to be the man to use his talents and design the Nike Kobe 11.

We all know the success Michael Jordan had with Tinker designing the iconic Air Jordan 11, and now he has full control over Kobe Bryant’s 11th signature shoe – which is rumored to be Kobe’s last signature shoe.

This release comes dressed in a Dark Obsidian color scheme, which is one shade away from being fully Blackout. The Nike Kobe 10 followed the success of the Kobe 9 with another high top version built with Flyknit, that also included a seamless textile upper and an Elite Low version shown here that is also equipped with a Flyknit construction.

The Nike Kobe 9 Elite FTB shifts to a Black-based upper as part of the Nike Kobe FTB “Black Mamba” Pack as a nod to Kobe’s legacy and career coming to an end.

Fully dressed in an Anthracite color scheme. The Nike Kobe 9 was designed in three different models, an Elite high top and low top, along with an EM (Engineered Mesh) version that only came as a low top. This release was a major trendsetter with its high top build and full Nike Flyknit construction that offered light, strong and supportive materials on the court.

The Nike Kobe 7 FTB is part of the Nike Kobe FTB “Black Mamba” Pack that features limited edition styles, which slowly fade from White to Black as an appropriate metaphor heading into Kobe Bryant’s final game.

This release of the Nike Kobe 7 comes dressed in a Blue Fox color scheme. One of the key features to the Kobe 7 was the insoles which included an “Attack Fast” and “Attack Strong” versions. The shoe also accompanied Kobe to London as he won a Gold medal at the 2012 Olympics.

The Nike Kobe 6 FTB keeps the legacy of the Nike Kobe FTB “Black Mamba” Pack going that will debut early April 2016.

Dressed in a River Rock color scheme as the silhouettes are slowly beginning to “Fade to Black” which is what the pack represents as a nod to Kobe’s career coming to a close.

This Kobe 6 is inspired by a trip Kobe Bryant took to the Philippines in Manila back in 2011. It’s a nod to a pick-up game Kobe played in while visiting, along with the nations love for basketball.

The Nike Kobe 6 is one of everyone’s favorite Nike Kobe model that represents Kobe’s driven character with an alter ego of the Black Mamba – which explains the snakeskin print displayed throughout its upper.

The Nike Kobe 5 FTB of the Nike Kobe FTB “Black Mamba” Pack might be one of the more anticipated Nike Kobe Retro release from this celebrated collection as we all prepare to say farewell to one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball.

At the time if you were to ask anyone whether you could make a lighter shoe than the Kobe 4, you’d probably say no. However, Kobe pushed Eric Avar to the limited who designed the Nike Kobe 5 to weight only 10.6 ounces.
