adidas Originals NMD C1 Boost Chukka OG Black

adidas Originals has a few more adidas NMD releases for spring time that includes their Chukka version as well.

One of those adidas NMD Chukka releases set to debut is one we seen before. This pair has a similar color scheme as the first adidas NMD release but with a bit of a height difference. The shoe features a full Black mesh upper with leather eyestays that includes Red and Blue moulded EVA midsole plugs overlaying a White Boost sole.

Check out the official images below and look for the adidas NMD Chukka OG to begin releasing soon at select stateside adidas Originals retails stores. They’re currently available now through overseas retailer Asphalt Gold.

UPDATE: Here’s how the OG-inpsired adidas NMD Chukka Black White Red Blue colorway looks on-feet. They have yet to touchdown here in the states, but they’re available now overseas at shops like Afew.

PUMA is back with their latest Embossed Pack this time focusing on the Suede Mid silhouette that come dressed in Arabian Spice and Pale Khaki colorways.

Each PUMA Suede Mid features full premium suede uppers with embossed formstripe branding on both the lateral and medial sides. Finishing off the look, they’re completed with a Gum rubber outsole.

Nike SB Dunk High “Tricolor” Represents the France Flag

The Nike SB Dunk High is set to release in an Euro-inspired colorway dubbed the “Tricolor” as a nod to the France Flag.

This France-themed Nike SB Dunk High sports a Challenge Red, Metallic Gold, Game Royal and White color scheme. The shoe uses the colors of French patriotism throughout the entire upper that’s paired with clean White laces and Metallic Gold accents on the Nike Swoosh logo along the sides. Finishing off the look is an icy translucent outsole.

Diadora N9000 Poppy Red V7000 Golden Straw

Diadora releases two brand new Italian-made runners for their spring collection that includes the popular N9000 and V7000 silhouettes.

The duo of releases come in an array of Red, Tan and Green tones that are built with premium leather and suede uppers. Metallic mesh underlays are seen on the N9000, while a breakable perforated leather is seen on the V7000. Finishing off both pairs is the traditional Diadora Italian-inspired tricolored logo embroidered on the tongue.

Check out both Diadora N9000 Poppy Red V7000 Golden Straw colorways below and find them available now at select Diadora retail stores, including shops like Feature. The N9000 retails for $130 USD and the V7000 retails for $140 USD.

The Nike Air Max Plus Receives the OG “Persian Violet” Color Scheme

Every silhouette has a classic OG colorway, and the Nike Air Max Plus is one that has a few including its “Persian Violet” makeup that appears to be returning.

The shoe features a full Black mesh upper that is contrasted with White overlay detailing and Persian Violet accents on the Nike Swoosh, toecap, back heel and midsole. Finishing off the look is a shared White midsole and Black rubber outsole.

A Look at Kanye West’s First adidas Collaboration That Never Released in 2006

Kanye West’s success with adidas Originals and his adidas Yeezy series has changed the culture and footwear industry. Since then, the Three Stripes have made a huge leap into being one of the more dominate/respected sneaker brands on the market right now.

However, this wasn’t the first time Pablo had linked up with adidas Originals, which a lot of people probably aren’t aware of.

Traveling back to 2006, both parities met on an upcoming project that included the adidas Rod Laver Vintage tennis court sneaker – which you can see a preview image of below.

Gary Aspden, adidas Creative Consultant, talked about the adidas tennis shoe designed by Kanye West 10 years ago that never ended up releasing via Crepe City:

In 2006 there were meetings held between Kanye West and adidas, back before he had ever done a trainer collaboration with anyone. As I was in charge of adidas’s Entertainment Division at the time I was asked to lead those discussions along with one of the team who was based over there. We met with Kanye in the studio in L.A. where he was recording – I was impressed by the fact that he had no big entourage, just him and his manager Don. He was immediately welcoming and respectful when he realised I had been instrumental in that first adidas x BAPE collaboration (at the time he was a big fan of A Bathing Ape and adidas Originals). The discussion revolved around working with adidas on versions of the Rod Laver Vintage which was his favourite shoe at that time.

After much to-ing and fro-ing between Kanye’s team and the then head of adidas Originals, the project didn’t end up coming to fruition which I now believe was no bad thing, however, years later as everyone is aware, adidas and Kanye finally hooked up and collaborated. The result of that I believe has been something far more substantial than anything that was potentially on the table back in 2006 – a completely new shoe silhouette utilising a groundbreaking technology. Even back then Kanye was very clear about the fact that before anything he saw himself primarily as a designer and was determined to start his own line – I remember him showing us logo ideas for ‘Pastel’. I personally have had no direct involvement in the adidas Yeezy project (that is handled by the likes of Jon Wexler and Rachel Muscat) but in my view it arguably has more parallels with that first BAPE collaboration than anything I have seen in the last decade or so.

It takes a similar approach, and like BAPE in 2003, it creates a level of demand that is indisputable. These products are about so much more than a pair of shoes, they come with a concept and a watertight execution – it’s the entire package. He pays attention to every detail of the product, even down to the string used for the swing tags. I have huge respect for the fact that he personally made trips to the factories with Nic Galway and was hands on with the entire process. Given how busy Kanye’s schedule must be, it’s hats off to him for taking the time to pay that level of attention and showing that level of commitment to getting things exactly the way he wants them to be. No half measures.

Inspired by the Nike Air Huarache and the Air Carnivore basketball shoe, this unique silhouette mixes iconic sportswear styles with modern technologies. The Air Jordan 17+ “Copper” was originally released back in 2002, and now Jordan Brand is set to bring them back this April 2016, along with another Air Jordan 17 colorway.

Released in 2002, the Air Jordan 17 took inspiration from MJ’s love for jazz music. The hardwood legend laced the Wilson Smith-designed silhouette up during the last leg of his career in the nation’s capital

Dressed in an orignal color scheme of White, Metallic Copper Coin, Black, and Sport Royal. The shoe is built with premium leather and luxurious hits of Copper and faux Croc detailing embossed on the back end of the shoe. Other details include Sport Royal accents throughout.

The Nike Kobe 11 “Brave Blue” first made its debut at Nike’s SNKRS XPRESS All-Star pop-up store in Toronto, and now this Nike Kobe 11 colorway will widely be available this April 2016.

Dressed in a Brave Blue, Metallic Silver and University Blue color scheme. This Nike Kobe 11 is inspired by longtime Nike Kobe designer Eric Avar. The shoe features a combination of Blue tones covering the entire upper with Silver detailing throughout and 3M reflective Swooshes on each side. Finishing off the look is a patch on the heel that reads, “I see beauty in the struggle,” which is a quote from Kobe Bryant.
