Gloss finishes have been popping up on retro silhouettes more and more lately, and the Uptown is the next to get that treatment. The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Black Patent” plays up that style, darkening the classic shoe’s personality and adding some shine without changing the silhouette.

True to its name, the sneakers arrive in a Black/White colorway. However, because of the gloss finish, the sneakers read as almost entirely black. They keep the leather-on-leather design standard to the traditional Air Force 1 construction with suede across the toe box, sides, and collar. Glossy patent material overlays around those elements though, wrapping across the mudguard, eyestays, heel, and Swoosh to bring shine to the shoe.

The differences in textures pop when light hits the sneakers. The matte finish of the leather dulls things down, while the patent overlays shine and add dynamism to the upper. As a whole, that combination gives this low-top AF-1 a dressier vibe while maintaining its casual ethos.

A chrome lace dubrae introduces the one noticeable break in the blackout setup. The small metallic piece shapes into a mini Swoosh layered over a plate, replacing the usual AF-1 ’82 tag. There are only a handful of sneakers that feel as ubiquitous as the Air Max 90. Years after its initial release, the silhouette still meshes well with any current rotation. Nike delivers on that timelessness with the Air Max 90 “Pink Foam” thanks to its soothing color scheme of layered greys, white mesh, and soft pink accents.

Nike builds breathability into the upper from the outset. White mesh covers the toe box, tongue, and collar of the shoe for a lightweight feel. A Smoke Grey leather mudguard hugs the bottom of the silhouette, which adds structure to the recognizable Air Max design.

The suede overlays pop up towards the center of the sneaker. Wolf Grey overlays cover the eyestays and stretch across the midfoot panels. Inspired by the Bay Area, where Dame grew up, the colorway doesn’t scream loud colors. Instead, the shoe boasts neutral colorways while still keeping it Dame-centric.

From start to finish, the upper is coated in a light beige shade, giving the shoe an even keel. One of the sneaker’s standout features is the set of removable rose “thorns” attached to the upper. These pieces can be clipped off for a cleaner look, but as Teyana Taylor explained, once they are removed they cannot be reattached. This design choice allows wearers to permanently customize the appearance of their pair.

Teyana Taylor and Jordan Brand continue to build on their creative partnership with the upcoming Air Jordan 3 “Concrete Rose”, officially set to release in March 2026. After first being unveiled during NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, Nike has now released official images of the collaboration, providing a closer look at the storytelling and materials behind the design.

The latest collaboration was originally showcased at Taylor’s “No Thorns, No Rose” activation, where she introduced the concept behind the sneaker. Jordan Brand hasn’t let up on their recent trend of muted colorways either, as we can expect another neutral pair soon. Coming this Summer 2026, the Air Jordan 1 Mid SE “Khaki Suede” offers a relaxed, material-driven appearance on the timeless mid cut.

Constructed primarily from khaki suede, the majority of the upper shares the same color. This includes the toe box, overlays, eyestays, collar panels and of course the Swoosh. Running along the edges of each panel is some pecan stitching to help subtly define each design element while maintaining the overall seamless appearance.

Touches of branding remain understated as well throughout the shoe. A small Wings logo is debossed into the collar where it’s pressed into the suede as opposed to sitting atop it. On the tongue, a darker shade of cargo khaki is used for the Jumpman logo. Meanwhile, the insoles feature the same logo embossed into the inside.

Transitioning to the bottom half of the silhouette, khaki isn’t the only color we see. A Sail midsole provides a pop of color to help break up the khaki palette while adding some vintage flavor. Tucked under that is a khaki rubber outsole that completes the look while preserving the iconic Air Jordan 1 outsole design.

Momentum around Nike’s Tuned Air series keeps growing, and a fresh colorway is already lining up for the warmer season. Recently revealed official images highlight the Nike Air Max Plus VII “Blue Crystal”, bringing a bright mix of white and blue that feels right at home for summer.

Simple white breathable mesh makes up the base upper, ensuring the design stays light and letting its layered appearance really pop. Overlaying the mesh is a skin of Blue Crystal raised rubber dots that cascade across the shoe from toe to heel. Some sneakers look ready for the court or the street. Others feel closer to gallery pieces. That line begins to blur with the upcoming Melitta Baumeister x Nike Air Max Muse, a collaboration quietly previewed through early runway and editorial imagery ahead of its expected Summer 2026 release.

Three early versions of this Air Max Muse reveal how far the concept pushes beyond familiar Nike design language. One pair appears in a muted grey palette with a marbled upper built from mesh and molded panels. Underfoot, thick foam formations spread across the midsole like hardened lava, wrapping around the toe and heel while still leaving the visible Air unit exposed.

Another look shifts the tone slightly with moss-green textures climbing along the outsole. The grey upper remains intact, but the sole now feels almost alive, as if the shoe is slowly being overtaken by nature. That unusual balance between organic shapes and performance tooling gives the design its identity.

Instead of leaning fully into toy-like construction, the LEGO x Crocs Classic Clog Collection shifts toward something easier to wear day to day while still keeping its creative edge.

Earlier versions leaned heavily into bright red LEGO branding and a chunky brick-inspired shape. This new group of pairs feels more familiar at first glance.
