The Entire ’92 Dream Team Footwear Collection Can Be Yours

1992 Dream Team Footwear Collection

Ever wanted the entire 1992 Dream Team footwear collection? Well, here is your chance to own the entire game-worn collection that are even signed by each player from the historic Dream Team squad from 1992.

By the time the USA Basketball Olympic committee came calling, David A. Fischer, MD had already enjoyed a long and distinguished career at the highest levels of American sports, having served as team physician to the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL and Timberwolves of the NBA for over a quarter century. But between the start of the qualifying “Tournament of the Americas” in mid-June 1992 through the final game of the Barcelona Olympics in mid-August, Fischer found himself linked to a team unequalled in the annals of athletic history.

Now, nearly twenty-four years after legends from Michael Jordan to Magic Johnson to Larry Bird took the top step of the podium to receive their Gold Medals, Dr. Fischer releases the treasures of his service to the bidding audience of our May Catalog Auction

“We have enjoyed the items and memories,” said Fischer. “We will always have the memories and friendships. However, we now think it time to allow other basketball fans and collectors the opportunity to share in these as well.”

Most notable among the contents of the Fischer Collection is a nearly full roster of game worn sneakers, many autographed with grateful messages from the legendary figures the doctor treated. Autograph collectors will be drawn to a pair of team signed basketballs, each so scarce that only team members and staff had access. A variety of Championship awards are likewise on offer, including a Gold Medal for the “Tournament of the Americas” and a ring representing the Gold Medal achievement at Barcelona.

You can now bid on individual pairs and the auction will run until May 13th. The Air Jordan 7 “Olympic” will be most sought-out pair of the collection. For those that are interested, you can now place your bid at Heritage Auctions.

Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there.

Today is a day to thank all the mothers out there that have always put us first in their lives and given us all we could ever ask for. For all the mothers who had to work multiple jobs, overtime hours and specially if you had to raise your kids by-yourself, today is strictly for you.

For all us sneakerheads out here, if it wasn’t for our mothers putting in the hard work and overtime hours we wouldn’t be able to have the passion and love for the sneaker game as we strongly do today. I’m sure 90% of all of us had our moms buy us our first pair of fresh kicks, so make sure you take today to show them extra love.

My Story: My mom had to raise three boys by herself, she worked 2 jobs putting in over 60/hrs a week. No matter what the circumstances was, she made sure I was able to put on a pair of Air Jordans once a month when I was younger. With that being said, if it wasn’t for my mom who bought me my first pair of Js – which was the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” colorway, I’d never had become in love with the sneaker game as I am now; nor would I have become the man I am today without her!

Community Poll: Was the “Mamba Day” iD the Best Kobe 11 to Release?

Nike Kobe 11 Mamba Day iD

The Nike Kobe 11 Mamba Day iD debuted on NIKEiD for a limited time on April 13th and sold-out instantly, specially after Kobe Bryant scored a spectacular 60 points in his farewell NBA game.

The final NIKEiD shoe for Kobe’s professional career also featured a graphic highlighting eight notable stats that have fueled the love and hate for the Black Mamba, including: the dates of his first and last games (11.01.96 and 4.13.16), five World Championships, four All-Star MVP awards, 18 All-Star appearances, 81 points scored in a game, 20 years played in the league and 24 for his jersey number.

Now looking back at this release even though it was a NIKEiD Kobe 11 and not an official retail release, do you consider this to be one of the better Nike Kobe 11 colorways to release this year?
