Nike Skateboarding is officially set to release their first Nike skate shoe designed for women, the women’s Nike SB Bruin High.

Designed from female Nike SB athletes including Leticia Bufoni, Sarah Meurle, and Josie Millard, as well as multiple female skate crews surveyed by Nike.

With a new, sculpted fit, a shallower forefoot and a more tapered heel than the typical Men’s skate last, the shoe hugs the foot and prevents unwanted, distracting movement. This creates a close fit with enough room width-wise for necessary comfort.

“The most important thing for me in footwear is a balance of durability, boardfeel, snugness and support. If it’s a perfect balance, then I feel the most connected to my skateboard.” said Lacey Baker, Nike SB pro skateboarder.

Converse x A$AP Nast Collection Officially Unveiled

A$AP Nast teams up with Converse to release an entire footwear and apparel collection incorporating materials of various textures, patterns and understated shades all inspired the recording artist’s favorite period of design history.

“Being born and raised in Harlem, I’m excited to drop my [first] design collaboration in my city. Fashion has always been a priority whether expressed through my style or rap– I am telling a story,” says Nast. “As a young creative, Converse gave me the opportunity to share my vision, passion, and personal inspiration of a timeless era through the collection.”

The Converse x A$AP Nast Collection features the Converse One Star and Converse Chuck Taylor in addition to a custom Converse t-shirt. The One Star is made with a soft-hued corduroy upper in Arrowhead, extra fuzzy laces, and the model’s iconic star in a Deep Red Dahlia leather. The Chuck Taylor All Star 70 features a plaid outer with two interchangeable fuzzy laces in Egret and Greener Pastures. The phrase “SOMEWHERE IN MID-CENTURY” appears on both the sneaker’s sidewalls, reminding of the era that influences A$AP Nast’s creative direction. The same phrase is also displayed on the front of the T-shirt, available in Cream, Cardinal, and Dark Chocolate.
