Nike Air Force 1 Low “Workboot” Pack Brings Nubuck Toughness

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Workboot” Pack is a nubuck-tough version of the basketball staple. Seasonless by design, these Timberland inspired sneakers balance streetwear flair and winter-ready toughness for a formula sneakerheads will surely appreciate.

Three unique colorways make up this collection. The first, a Flax/Gum Light Brown-Black-Wheat colorway, is a popular new pair now available. Another color is the Wolf Grey style that adds a classic, low-key style to any rotation. Meanwhile, the Black version is a sporty and stealthy choice for daily rotation.

Materials like metal eyelets, Swooshes, and laces in-toned laces top the classic AF1 sole unit. The additional elements make the “Workboot” design feel more rugged than your everyday Forces.

Ja Morant Helped Design This Nike Air Force 1 Low “NY vs NY”

Ja Morant is moving in a new direction with a new streetwear collab as the NBA season approaches. The Memphis Grizzlies guard will be teaming up with Nike Basketball for the Air Force 1 Low “NY vs NY”, which pays tribute to New York City’s famous summer basketball tournament.

The “NY vs NY” league is a well-known basketball tournament in the city, bringing together the best high school players in the city to play in some of the most famous playgrounds in the world such as Rucker Park and Dyckman. Nike has in the past created a connection between the tournament and exclusive sneaker drops, but this release is even more special given Morant’s growing celebrity.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low features a polished build that’s as simple as it is detailed. Starting with a black premium nubuck upper as a base, the shoe is finished with tumbled leather Swooshes for some texture. White rope laces provide bold contrast and powder blue accents on the lace dubrae and insole give the shoe a pop without being too much. On the heel, there’s an embroidered “NY vs NY” that reiterates the city culture. A gum sole is used on the bottom to provide a classic, durable finish. The gum element is what makes this pair stand out from the rest.

Instead of being a signature shoe for the Ja line, this Air Force 1 stays true to the tournament’s legacy and features no personal branding. Despite that, it still feels like a seamless intersection between the rising basketball superstar and the city’s streetball culture. The sneaker is a minimal, everyday-ready Air Force 1 that forges a link between basketball performance shoes and lifestyle classics.

The Ja Morant x Nike Air Force 1 Low “NY vs NY” is set to release Fall 2025 at Nike.com and select retailers for $125 USD.

Air Jordan 1 Low Appears With Watermelon Vibes

Jordan Brand keeps summer vibes fresh with the Air Jordan 1 Low “Watermelon”, a vivid combination of green and pink hues. This playful take embraces the season’s energy while paying homage to colorways popular with past summer releases.

The shoe is constructed with a leather upper divided between two different green tones — “Fir” and “Malachite” to reference the watermelon rind. The contrasting tones are playfully accented by pops of “Pink Blast” on the Swoosh, Jumpman tongue logo, and heel Wings branding. This new colorway was given the nickname of “Watermelon” for these pink and green details. An off-white midsole complements the rest of the palette, set on top of a dark green rubber outsole.

The Air Jordan 1 Low is a classic silhouette favored by sneakerheads that love the brand’s traditional Jordan Brand DNA in a low-top profile. The “Watermelon” colorway is a new addition that is ideal for multiple styles and stands out for the upcoming seasonal Jordan Brand releases. It also has the right amount of summery vibes from that pop of pink contrasting against the more subdued greens.

The Air Jordan 1 Low “Watermelon” will release soon through Nike.com and select Jordan Brand retailers for $115 USD. Are you picking up this new fruity release for your rotation?

BAPE STA Returns In A Patent Leather Trio

There aren’t many sneakers with a history as storied as the BAPE STA, and this September it’s back with a triple “Patent Leather” offering.

Originating in the early 2000s, the STA quickly became a cultural staple. Worn by Pharrell, Kanye and untold sneakerheads, it was a key factor in elevating the silhouette to global relevancy. Unlike many sneakers that drew inspiration from basketball culture, the BAPE STA created its own lane, and in the process, ensured every drop would feel special.

This offering is available in three colorways: the original Turquoise Blue, a fan favorite Black and a crisp White. All three pairs keep true to the brand’s signature DNA with a bold side star and debossed APE HEAD heel logo. Luxurious details like silver eyelets and APE HEAD lace dubraes provide additional refinement. That subtle hardware is exactly the type of attention to detail sneakerheads will notice.

Release Date & Where To Buy

Miu Miu x New Balance 530 Just Dropped For $1,220

Miu Miu is back with more premium upgrades to the New Balance 530, dropping three new colorways for Fall 2025. The line originally debuted on Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer 2024 runway show, slimming down the silhouette and adding a fashion-first edge to the classic retro runner. The release was so popular it even influenced New Balance to put out the mass-friendly 204L, but there’s nothing like the runway-ready refinement of the original.

Compared to the standard 530’s chunkier ABZORB midsole, the Miu Miu 530 has a lower profile for a sleeker and more elevated aesthetic. The three pairs launched for Fall 2025 include a glossy black patent leather edition, a metallic silver and white edition with gold accents, and a more muted grey suede pair with gum soles. For the first time, the 530 will also feature mesh construction, sneakerhead-approved details that hint at the shoe’s technical runner heritage.

Though their $1,220 retail price point is a bit of a barrier, the Miu Miu x New Balance 530 has left a strong impression on the sneaker community with its luxury-retro balance and high-fashion meets heritage design approach.

The latest trio of Fall 2025 colorways are now available via Miu Miu’s official website.

adidas Stan Smith Freizeit Reinvents Itself As A Dress Shoe

Moving from the courts to the boardroom, the adidas Stan Smith Freizeit is anything but casual. This take on the tennis classic reimagines the silhouette to look more like a contemporary dress shoe.

Made with high-quality black leather, the shining upper sports clean details and no blaring branding. Perforated Three Stripes mimic a subtle stitching effect, while tonal laces complete the look. The high gloss sheen will instantly class it up from the average sneaker.

Flip the shoe over and you’ll see adidas once again went big on the outsole, this time with a lugged rubber sole. Though rugged, it’s executed in a muted way. This gives the Freizeit a lot of versatility and could work for a dinner, office environment, or even with some tailoring. A supple leather lining provides that comfort not typically associated with dress shoes.

The adidas Stan Smith Freizeit drops September 15, 2025 on adidas.com and select retailers for $150.

adidas Samba “Snakeskin Pant” Adds Extension

The adidas Samba “Snakeskin Pant” is a classic indoor soccer silhouette like none you’ve ever seen. The original Samba was a staple of futsal courts since its release in the 1950s. It only became an urban classic later. The Fall 2025 version continues that long history but with high-fashion twists.

The nylon snakeskin upper is a glossy navy that flashes when you walk. Dark olive Three Stripes and toned-down branding add understated contrast. Meanwhile, a deep gum outsole keeps things more grounded and Samba traditional. But make no mistake, this is no ordinary Samba. It’s got that balance of familiar heritage and avant-garde style that sneakerheads love.

Accents like metallic Trefoil, tone-on-tone laces, and pivot-point tread patterns tie the Samba to its adidas family tree. But the removable pant cuff is the showstopper. It takes the low-top to totally unexpected sock-boot territory.

Expect the adidas Samba “Snakeskin Pant” to launch Fall 2025 online at adidas.com and other select retailers. Be sure to drop in early to grab a pair.

Ronnie Fieg Previews Kith x ASICS Gel-Lyte III “Blue/White” 2025 Collab

Ronnie Fieg’s collection with ASICS has become one of the most storied chapters in contemporary sneakers. He has collaborated on over 100 unique sneakers with the Japanese lifestyle brand over the last 15 years. His newest drop pays homage to the silhouette that started it all: the ASICS GEL-Lyte III. Fieg made his first debut with the classic split-tongue silhouette in 2006 as the first sneaker he collaborated with ASICS on. Fieg comes back around to the silhouette again, bringing heritage into the mix, along with a number of new details to create a fresh take on the silhouette.

Previewed via Instagram, the sneaker features overlapping blue suede panels layered over tumbled white leather, with stitching mimicking the look of quilting. The split tongue on the sneaker bears a small FIEG logo written in ASICS font. A mesh heel wrap and off-white midsole further add to the vintage aesthetic of the sneaker. Flat cream laces and rope-style blue laces will be provided with the shoe, so that wearers can customize their look whether they’re feeling lifestyle or ready to hit the trails. Those are the kind of thoughtful details that longtime fans of the brand recognize and value.

For Fieg, the GEL-Lyte III is a particularly special silhouette for a number of reasons. It was the silhouette that he first collaborated on with ASICS back in 2006, when he designed the “252 Pack” as part of his work at David Z. Those initial sneakers with ASICS set the course for Fieg’s career. Releases like the 2011 “Salmon Toe” and the “Leatherback” not only cemented Fieg’s reputation in the world of sneakers but also established Kith as an essential player in sneaker culture. This newest release not only continues that legacy, but taps into nostalgia while feeling sleekly refined.

While a release date have not been confirmed, from Fieg’s sneaker teasers, the Kith x ASICS GEL-Lyte III “Blue White” is expected to release later this year through Kith’s online and in-store.

GEL-Lyte III collectors and those invested in Kith’s work with ASICS will want to be on the lookout—this release has significance for sneaker storytelling as well as sneakerhead culture.

UA Curry Fox 2 “Lexington” Drops September 12th

Performance is personality with De’Aaron Fox’s new UA Curry Fox 2 “Lexington,” a colorway curated for your next statement play.

Dual branding runs through the release as well. De’Aaron Fox’s Curry Brand logo is stitched on the strap. Meanwhile, Stephen Curry’s signature art lands on the heel, making a nod to their relationship as Under Armour continues to push basketball culture forward. Curry versions past prioritized performance, but this feels like the first genuine balance of style and storytelling.

The PUMA MB.05 “Voltage” arrives this Fall with a daring makeover that sets it apart from LaMelo Ball’s earlier pairs.

Departing from the feathered, hallucinogenic vibes of Ball’s previous drops, this iteration of the performance silhouette layers vivid flowers across the upper.

Electric shades are at the forefront of the sneaker, as neon is introduced to the mesh, sole unit, and textured TPU straps. Logo accents littered throughout the design elevate the audacious nature of the shoe, while the shift in pattern further proves PUMA is willing to push the envelope with its newest basketball model.

Travis Scott Attends Apple Event Wearing Vintage Apple Sneakers

Apple’s annual Keynote event in Cupertino was full of notable announcements for the iPhone 17 lineup, including the ultra-thin iPhone Air. However, all eyes were on Travis Scott as he walked into the event in a pair of ultra-rare vintage Apple sneakers that’s one of the rarest sneakers of all-time.

Scott has a notable rotation in sneakers mostly sticking to Nike and Jordan, but he broke up the run with the all-white Apple sneakers from the early 1990s. The pairs of sneakers were never intended for retail, with the rare Apple sneakers only being gifted to Apple employees. The sneakers only have a small “Apple” logo stitched on the side in red and were used to promote Apple, with some of the earliest tech-era designs in the bag. They’re one of the rarest sneakers of all-time and are even considered a grail item when they resurface, with pairs usually selling for at least six figures.

The release comes as Scott continues to build an unrivaled legacy in the sneaker world, but the retro set he flexed at Apple’s Keynote isn’t tied to Nike or Jordan. The release date of Scott’s next drop with Jordan Brand and Fragment Design is just around the corner on September 20th, but for now, the rare Apple sneakers make another headline. Scott’s decision to wear a pair of the sneakers outside of Nike and Jordan will have some wondering about the long-term potential and projects Scott will continue to be involved with.

It’s clear that the Apple sneakers will have a special place in sneaker culture due to the rarity and high-profile co-sign from Scott. The sneakers are simple in design and have an unassuming look and feel, but the rarity, company-exclusive history, and celebrity endorsement will only make them more mythic over time. Travis Scott wore a pair at one of Apple’s biggest yearly events in history. When you have sneakers like these, it just proves that the rarest sneakers are always out there and you’ll find them in the wildest places.

While the Apple sneakers won’t be receiving a retail release, being seen by Travis Scott at the iPhone 17 release will only contribute to its status as one of the most legendary sneakers of all-time.

The lineup spotlights two classic silhouettes reimagined with playful details. The Classic Leather is available in women’s ($90) and preschool ($80) sizes and features floral side stripes, “friendship bracelet” lace accents, and bilingual tongue tags. The Club C 85 is available in preschool ($60) and toddler ($50) sizes and is made with a glittery chalk upper, embroidered flower details, and shimmer heel tabs. Bright branding and tongue labels with phrases like “Ready to Explore?” are shared across both silhouettes.

The release is the latest in Reebok’s playful collaborations that are rooted in pop culture. It’s that balance of fun and function that makes the Dora capsule shine.

Original Story 6/8/25:
Nike is turning heads again—this time with the women’s Astra Ultra “Triple Black”, a sneaker that looks like it time-traveled from the year 3025. Drenched in mystery and matte black, this sleek silhouette is a bold leap into Nike’s fashion-forward future.
