“Iowa” Colors Inspire The Nike Alpha Menace Dunk Cleats

Nike Dunk heritage collides with football in the Alpha Menace Dunk Cleats “Iowa”.

True to form, the basketball-inspired silhouette features the iconic Dunk Low paneling, with a molded cleated plate in the outsole area designed to provide speed and traction.

The leather upper comes in a mix of smooth and suede finish, while perforations up front in the toe box help to add breathability. On the flip side, a high-cut collar provides lockdown support while lending the cleats on-field performance credibility.

Golden Yellow overlays take the spotlight, in reference to the Iowa-inspired theme. The use of black underlays further defines the contrast. Cleats branding throughout the Swoosh, tongue and heel area connect function with Nike’s sporting heritage.

The Nike Alpha Menace Dunk Cleats “Iowa” will be available in Fall 2025 for $180 via Nike.com and select retailers.

Air Jordan 1985 BE@RBRICK

Jordan’s iconic “Jumpman” poster ad returns as the Air Jordan 1985 BE@RBRICK.

This legendarily quotable image first appeared in 1985, adorning posters and walls everywhere.

The 100% figure (7 cm) dons the same outfit MJ sports in the picture—a red tank, black shorts, black wristband, and of course Air Jordan sneakers.

As the details matter to fans, so too do the finishes of the two figures: The Playground 1985 Silver exudes a futuristic chrome finish while the 1985 Gold looks a high-end metallic. In both variations, this BE@RBRICK figure is display-worthy.

Complete with a scale of three figure sizes, the 100% version is $35 while the 400% version is $275. Completing the trio is the 1000% version at 70 cm, priced at $1,495. The value increase, as with most things, comes down to size. Grab your BE@RBRICK today via store.moma.org.

Aminé x New Balance 2000 “Biblioteca” Releases October 3rd (Raffle Open)

UPDATE 9/29/25: The New Balance 2000 “Biblioteca” raffle has officially opened via Aminé’s clubbanana.com ahead of the upcoming release. Entries are accepted until Wednesday, October 1st at 5 PM PT.

Original Story 8/25/25:
The Aminé x New Balance 2000 “Biblioteca” is another story-driven collaboration between the Portland-based artist and the Boston-based shoe brand. From his Club Banana collective allusions to callouts sprinkled throughout the pack, there’s a lot to digest on the details Aminé incorporated into his high-top. The shoe dons a blend of fluorescent greens as it weaves in several colorful references for sneakerheads to discover.

The design features mesh overlays with faux-leather glints, neon accents, and glowing lime green for visual interest. From the branding to the sole pods and slashes on the overlay, a self-glowing feature adds character to the shoe. Simply based on that design alone, the Amine x New Balance 2000 “Biblioteca” will turn heads. Custom co-branding can be found on the tongue, while library callouts like “Return Your Books on Time” provide cheekiness. The heel even sports a handwritten inspired “Club Banana” that grounds the collab in Aminé’s world.

Book depository inspired boxes round out the creative touches and extend on the “Biblioteca” nod. Portland locals who attended the local activation were even able to bring in a book for donation and get a free pair of the sneaker in return after sending proof of the exchange to Aminé, who supports and encourages these kinds of acts in the community.

Amine New Balance 2000 Release Date

The Aminé x New Balance 2000 “Biblioteca” will drop on October 3, 2025. Pairs will be up for grabs online at clubbanana.com, and sign-ups for updates have already begun.

With Aminé’s previous releases being a strong indication of sellout velocity, it is safe to say this one will fly off the shelves as well.

Air Jordan 11 GS “Inner Beast” Releases October 4th

UPDATE 9/29/25: Jordan Brand has officially unveiled the kids’ Air Jordan 11 “Inner Beast” that’s set to release October 4th. The shoe is part of a larger collection celebrating the model’s 30th Anniversary.

Original Story 9/20/25:
The Air Jordan 11 GS “Inner Beast” headlines Jordan Brand’s kids-exclusive lineup for Holiday 2025. Inspired by bold energy, this special edition will also release alongside a matching Air Jordan 1 Low, forming a unique two-shoe pack.

Made exclusively for grade schoolers, this bold new colorway reimagines the classic Air Jordan 11. The shoe is made of smooth black leather with crushed velvet mudguards. Pops of Barely Volt energize the tongue branding, heel logos, and translucent outsole. Sneakerheads will love the glow-in-the-dark effect that makes the shoe shine when lights go out. A carbon fiber shank stays true to the performance DNA of the original 1995 model. That balance between familiar architecture and youthful playfulness is what makes this release unique.

Jordan Brand has dipped its toes into kid-centric storytelling in recent years and this release is no different. This begins with the insoles which read “Unleash Your Inner Beast”, and it certainly seems that the company hopes kids playing sports will resonate with that message. It’s worth noting that even the packaging itself comes with some playful “Sneaker School” graphics, which only add to this release’s collectability. As a whole, compared to a normal inline GS drop, this pair of sneakers feels far more premium.

Nike Air Foamposite One “Cough Drop” Releases September 30th

UPDATE 9/27/15: The “Cough Drop” Nike Foamposite One releases September 30th via SNKRS for $240 USD.

Original Story:
Nike will continue to revisit old favorites with the Nike Air Foamposite One “Cough Drop” returning in August 2025. The retro drop pays homage to the original colorway that originally released in 2007 and quickly became a fan favorite due to its popular styling.

The 2025 release will offer up the same deep black Foam shell and also reintroduces the fan favorite red translucent bottom, as opposed to the matte red outsole we saw on the “samples” from Nike’s most recent SNKRS Showcase product preview.

The Swoosh logos, heel tabs, and tongue piping also receive a red hue. The black suede eyelets and mesh tongue of the shoe only further accentuate its rugged look and feel. It also pairs these aesthetics with carbon fiber midfoot shanks.

In recent years, there have been some underwhelming Foamposite colorways. However, when it comes to the “Cough Drop,” its styling is further proof that certain styles are forever. The shoe still holds up today as it pairs its heritage design with a street-ready colorway.

Nike Dunk High Yeezy 2 “Solar Red” Sample Revealed

The Nike Dunk High Yeezy 2 “Solar Red” Sample has surfaced, revealing a rarely seen glimpse at Nike’s Kanye West era. Just revealed by collector @clamskicks, this never before seen pair is an ode to the Kanye West classic Air Yeezy 2 “Solar Red” from 2012.

The Dunk High has a black construction of suede, mesh, and croc-style textured leather on the heel panels. Bright Solar Red lining and a glow in the dark green outsole finalize the unmistakable Yeezy silhouette. It’s that juxtaposition of loud contrast and texture that made the Yeezy 2 one of the most celebrated sneakers ever released.

Word goes that Nike did in fact do Dunk High editions of all three Yeezy 2 colorways, yet the only one to ever see the light of day was the “Red October” variation. Other crossovers like this popped up on the Foamposite and Air Force 1 when Kanye was teaming up with Nike in the 2010s.

While this Solar Red-themed Dunk never made it to retail, it’s an interesting “what if” scenario for the silhouette. In the same way, this new sample from a Yeezy 2 “Solar Red” continues Kanye’s Nike dialog. So long as the hype around his output is alive, new leaks and samples will be thrown in as fuel.

The Nike Dunk High Yeezy 2 “Solar Red” Sample will most likely never be released, but fans now know what they were missing.

adidas Consortium x Mercedes-AMG October 2025 Collection Blends Motorsport Aesthetics

adidas Consortium x Mercedes-AMG is back with a bold three-shoe collection.

Featuring the ZX 8500, Megaride GT, and adiStar Control 5, the collection mashes automotive and sneaker design while drawing inspiration from Mercedes’ racing dominance in the ’90s and remixing that into a modern context.

The ZX 8500 is a throwback silhouette that is making its second comeback after its first release through OVERKILL in 2021. A hybrid between the ZX 8000 and ZX 9000, this sneaker also has limited-release appeal for collectors. Leading the pack is a black-and-red colorway that mimics team racing liveries, while a muted all-grey color scheme is laid-back for everyday wear.

The Megaride GT, on the other hand, has more futurism in its design language. The Y2K-inspired upper features chrome trim and pops with red and black details. The outsole has six pods, split into six segments and sitting atop each other to showcase the adidas propulsion technology. This feature can also be seen on adidas’ Predator line recently.

Lastly, the adiStar Control 5 is hanging on to its reliable cushioning system, but it ditches its roots in runners for layered mesh uppers and undulating lines to freshen up the silhouette’s appearance.
