UK-based size? continues their Japanese themed collaborative projects with ASICS Tiger for an upcoming Gel Saga release inspired by Japan’s Balloon Fiesta.

Paying homage to the traditional event, they’ve applied a themed colorway and material make-up onto the original shape of the Gel Saga. A multi-coloured ripstop reminiscent of that used on a Hot Air Balloon’s Envelope sets the theme in motion, sitting on the toebox and sidewall underlay. Deep Black suede covers the upper, a material inspired by the gloves worn by pilots to avoid the scorching heat of the Burners. Finishing off the detailing, alternating colored lettering is placed on the heel counter calling out the silhouette’s name, and a multi-Balloon print graphic sits on the inside sockliner.

Those models includes the adidas x AW Turnout Trainer, Puff Trainer, two Turnout BBall, and two AW BBall colorways.

The standout of the collection is the adidas x AW Turnout BBall silhouette that blends design cues from the adidas archives with modern and unexpected elements. They feature a mixed material upper inspired by retro basketball style. The midsole is a multisport mash-up inspired by several adidas trainers.

The adidas x Dragon Ball Z series continues throughout the year, and the next battle set to release in November is between Vegeta and Majin Buu.

For Vegeta the adidas Ultra Tech silhouette is used featuring the characters signature Blue, Yellow, and White colors throughout its upper. Branded heels atop a solid Black rubber outsole completes the design.

Majin Buu’s adidas Kamanda features a soft Pink upper as a nod to the character’s skin, with the Majin Mark logo on the heels. Other details includes “Mr. Satan” labels underneath the tongues atop its signature rugged sole.

Jordan Brand will be releasing an upcoming Air Jordan 1 Rookie of the Year that’s inspired by what Michael Jordan wore during his Rookie of the Year acceptance speech.

On April 30, 1985, Michael Jordan accepted the NBA’s Rookie of the Year honors. During the year, he averaged 28.2 points per game and led the Chicago Bulls to a playoff berth. In Michael Jordan fashion, his acceptance speech was short and funny.

“Hopefully next year will be more promising,” he says, “If not, maybe I’ll retire after two years.”

Dressed in a Gold Harvest and Black color scheme. This Air Jordan 1 pays homage to the Brown shirt he wore while receiving the award. It features a White leather upper with Wheat overlays and Black detailing on the tongue label, ankle collar, Swoosh logo and rubber outsole. Nike Air Fear of God 1 Release Date Price

Nike and Jerry Lorenzo have officially revealed their upcoming Nike Air Fear of God Collection that consists of two colorways of the Nike Air Fear of God 1 and apparel inspired by sport.

Originally debuted as part of Fear Of God’s Sixth Collection, the Air Fear Of God 1 is built to be basketball-ready influenced by the early 1990s. Jerry teamed up with Nike design director Leo Change that’s highlighted with its double-height Zoom Air heel unit that resembles the Air Max 180. The upper features an exterior TPU heel and cage inspired by the Air Huarache Light for lockdown, while the overall shoe is based off Jerry’s own foot scans.

“It is a shoe that should only be judged by the emotion it gives the kid when he first sees it — however it makes him feel,” says Lorenzo. “In my youth…growing up in the ’80s and finishing high school in the ’90s, contrary to what’s happening now, it was our superstar athletes and our pro athletes that were informing the way that we wore our street clothes. These athletes, like Agassi and Jordan, were at the top of their game and what they wore didn’t compromise on design or beauty.”

LeBron James took it to his Instagram to reveal a special edition Nike LeBron 15 x Air Jordan 5 PE before tonights matchup agains the Atlanta Hawks.

This 1-of-1 Nike LeBron 15 mimics the iconic Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic” colorway. It features a Black BattleKnit upper with White “23” embroidered on the sides, branded Dunkman logos on the tongue and lace lock along with Nike Air on the heels. Vince Carter joined Nike in 2000. He was already well-known for a few things: highlight reel-filling dunks and a torrid scoring touch. Combined, these elements propelled Carter toward super-stardom.

Carter debuted the Nike Shox BB4 during summer play in Sydney. It proved to be the perfect storm of sneaker, performance and world stage. An iconic dunk of death over a seven-footer while wearing a pair secured his legendary status and drove home the power of the Nike Shox system. You can’t synthesize that kind of moment, but maybe, just maybe, those columns gave him the confidence to pull off the ultimate “posterized” dunk.

“The success of the dunk started the legend of the shoes. But I myself went to another level with them, too. I became a star player in the BB4,” Carter says.
