Nike Unveils The LeBron 23 Signature Forever King Collection

Nike and LeBron James have officially unveiled the LeBron 23, the twenty-third installment of the LeBron James signature sneakers. The shoe debuts the Crown Containment System and a full-length ZoomX drop-in midsole for a blend of responsiveness and stability. Designed in partnership with LeBron, the shoe also tells a story with the 23 having each chapter of the LeBron XXIII representing 23 key moments in LeBron James’ life and career.

For its initial launch, Nike has confirmed three colorways:

Nike LeBron 23 Uncharted

This first release commemorates LeBron James’ 40,000th career point scored on the court, which makes him only the fifth player to reach that milestone. The release features iridescent gold treatment and a “40K” charm on the heel tab. It will launch on September 25th in China, and October 3rd on a global scale.

Nike LeBron 23 Miami Twice

The colorway pays homage to James’ first two NBA titles won during his stint with the Miami Heat. The release comes in a teal-and-pink palette.

Nike LeBron 23 The Chosen One and The One Who Cares

Celebrating the father-son love between LeBron and Bronny James, this shoe is split into gold and purple to represent Cleveland and Los Angeles.

Accompanying the releases are also the Forever King line of apparel, which consists of premium jerseys, shorts, and elevated sportswear paying tribute to styles worn in each era of LeBron James’ career.

The Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Cargo Khaki” serves as a retrospective on Kobe’s career using one of Nike’s most iconic silhouettes. Kobe’s past collaboratives with the brand have mainly focused on player exclusives, but the Air Force 1 connection is still heavily intact, with another drop on the way in the form of the highly-anticipated “Denim” colorway.

This iteration continues the narrative but shifts into a more lifestyle leaning direction. The sneakers are rendered in a snakeskin textured leather, giving the “Cargo Khaki” colorway a rugged, premium feel. Kobe’s Sheath logo is on the heel while his jerseys numbers are stitched on the back tab. This sneaker doubles as an everyday wearing piece while also paying homage to Kobe’s legacy.

Compared to Protro performance iterations, this drop is a bit more easily attainable. This is very similar to the “Triple White” earlier this year, in that it lets fans pay tribute to Kobe without having to go after ultra rare silhouettes. Personally, this “Cargo Khaki” is one of the more rotation friendly tributes Nike has put out in recent memory.

Jayson Tatum and Jordan Brand will soon release the fourth chapter of their partnership with the Jordan Tatum 4. Debuted in NBA 2K26, this new model is an evolution of the Tatum 3, featuring a refined design with smoother lines on the upper and midsole that also increases both style and support.

Nike’s early notes confirm the debut colorway will feature a striking Green Glow/Black scheme. Most of the upper is covered in the vibrant green shade, with black accents framing the design. The look feels like a nod to the Boston Celtics, giving fans a colorway that connects directly to Tatum’s team.

A speculative mock-up from @tatumkicks has already sparked discussion. The bold Jumpman logo placed on the lateral side emphasizes the sneaker’s sleek aesthetic. Personally, this pair stands out as one of the cleanest performance-first designs in Tatum’s growing lineup.

Nigel Sylvester continues his partnership with Jordan Brand in 2026, bringing a new take to the Air Jordan 4 as a follow up to 2025’s “Brick by Brick” release.

Arriving in a clean “Sail/Cinnabar” colorway, this upcoming release resembles the pair seen on the runway in January 2025. While that pair nodded to the OG “Fire Red” 4s, the retail version will feature updated details and a slightly different design from what was shown during the show.

Uppers come dressed in Sail leather with mesh netting across the side panels. Cinnabar red accents highlight the eyelets, heel branding, and a small forefoot Swoosh. A soft cream outsole adds contrast against a black midsole wrap.

The adidas x Mercedes AMG adiZero Collection is one of the most aggressive runs in footwear. The German automaker jumped ship from PUMA to Three Stripes last year and has already made a series of bold drops with the brand. However, this latest collaboration was built for maximum impact. Mercedes AMG and the Three Stripes have come together for a six-pack capsule collection, with each model taking cues from speed, endurance, and motorsport design.

Silhouettes in the adidas x Mercedes AMG adiZero collection are steeped in inspiration from the Mercedes black-and-red livery, checkered Three Stripes, and AMG branding. Just that small detail on its own represents the detail and focus on performance. The color blocking on the shoes feels a bit menacing to me, but sleek and clean at the same time. The detailing throughout the collection is even more aerodynamic, reminiscent of the bodywork on AMG’s race cars. That is the type of crossover sneakerheads will take notice of.

The collection is split into two distinct footwear categories. Marathon and road racers will be able to get their hands on the adiZero Prime X3 Strung, adios Pro 4, and EVO SL, which have been developed with Lightstrike Pro foam for maximum energy return. Track runners will also have a trio of offerings from adidas with the adiZero Ambition, Avanti Tyo, and Prime SP 4, which are all spike-equipped for sprinting.
