The pair draws direct inspiration from his cherished 1996 Chevy Impala SS, a car he’s referenced often as part of his style and identity. That connection shows clearly here. The Book 1 feature a deep burgundy patent upper that mirrors the car’s sleek paint, paired with chrome accents echoing its polished trim.

The Chevy Impala emblem stamped near the Swoosh might be my favorite touch. It’s small, but that’s the detail sneakerheads will notice. The design sticks to Booker’s minimalist approach, with embossed “BOOK” branding and a streamlined, low-cut build meant to look good both in motion and up close.

Player-exclusive pairs don’t always translate into public releases, and this might stay special to Booker for now. Still, it fits perfectly into his growing on-court storytelling catalog. If this colorway ever drops, expect hype — quiet, tasteful hype.

The Nike Kobe 9 EM Low Protro “China” is reuniting with fans for the holidays. It was originally released back in 2014 and was a direct nod to Kobe Bryant’s long-standing bond with China. His on-court play, mentality, and international presence made him a cultural phenomenon over there. That’s part of what has made this pair so memorable for collectors.

This Protro edition sticks close to what made the original special. The red engineered mesh upper pops instantly, while Metallic Gold hits on the Swoosh and heel signature add a polished touch. The floral-style graphic on the tongue is still the standout detail—that’s the kind of artistry Kobe fans always look for. And yes, the heel still features the nine golden stitches that symbolize both recovery and resilience. That’s the detail sneakerheads will notice.

Kazuki Kuraishi has delivered a shoe with a trail-ready build, featuring ripstop mesh, suede overlays, and a snap latch lace system for a no-fuss tightening. With this in mind, the shoe has a utilitarian appeal, while not skimping on the BAPE edge.

AVAVAV’s x adidas Holiday 2025 capsule revives two of the collab’s most memorable silhouettes: the Superstar Vacuum and the Moonrubber Megaride.

On the Superstar, a sculpted and softened leather upper evokes a sense of purposeful distortion, like a warped shadow of the OG silhouette, a style exaggerated by the cracked, worn-in shell toe, which also caters to that destroyed aesthetic. There are two greaser-approved black makeups, while the addition of a brown colorway adds patina and a touch of dressiness without diverging from the Superstar’s street roots.

As for the Megaride, that experimental tooling takes things to new extremes. The swollen, bulbous sole unit looks like a Dali painting in contrast with the mesh upper. A triple-black iteration is quietly aggressive, while the grey and olive combination is more jovial and artistic. It’s also a conversation starter without a doubt.

atmos’ x adidas Superstar GORE-TEX is a new look at the classic black-and-white Superstar with some weather-ready additions.

It’s a familiar design at first blush: white leather upper, black Three Stripes, and distressed shell toe to finish off the well-loved look. But the GORE-TEX lining to keep feet dry is an atmos touch, as is the luxe gold branding details.

And then the lights go out. The black stripes on the sides and the heel tab feature a snakeskin pattern that glows in the dark, an ode to atmos’ long-standing “G-SNK” series. That’s a quintessential atmos detail: streetwear cool mixed with technical gear. Inside, there’s also a small “Designed in Tokyo” tag.

They’ll drop in November 2025, most likely via atmos as an international release.

Jordan Brand continues to update the Method of Make v3 for Fall 2025.

The simple silhouette takes cues from the previous Method of Make variations. They elevated the AJ1 into a futuristic state, yet paid homage to the original 1985 pairs.

The upper consists of Summit White leather and layered cut-and-sew elements. The AJ1 features a sculpted and modern look. Bright chrome Swoosh in contrast to the minimalist design. Sail midsole and gum medium brown outsole round out the streamlined silhouette. The insole features vibrant ceramic Nike Air branding for a small pop of color.

Tiny details like the metallic Wings logo at the heel and exposed foam tongue add to the fresh take on the Jordan 1 makes great combinations with old and new elements. That is why the Method of Make is a series that has been such an interesting watch.

Nike’s Equestrian Boot is getting its official first look courtesy of Kenyan rider Muthoni Kimani.

On a leafy hillside, Kimani gave an early look at the performance-minded boot in a matching training kit. Designed by Tobie Hatfield and Leo Chang, the silhouette features a full-length asymmetric zip, 3D textured shaping, and nuanced detail cues inspired by Maasai beadwork. Kimani’s personal lion-head icon is a stamp of authenticity not a designer-approved logo for hype.

Nike has dabbled in this space without much fanfare. In 2008, the Nike Ippeas Boot was launched with a Zoom cushioned sole and molded heel for Olympic Equestrian athletes. The new iteration is sleeker, sportier, and more intrinsically linked to an athlete’s story.

The color scheme brings to mind sage, sand and anthracite, spanning the wide range of landscapes found on tribal homelands. And the graphics have an authentic, less corporate touch.
