ASICS Gel FujiTrabuco Sky Directoire Blue

ASICS presents the super lightweight Gel FujiTrabuco Sky trail shoe. Developed with three-time UTMB winner Xavier Thevenard, this shoe’s design approach focuses both on weight and drainage. It has a flexible plate under the forefoot, allowing runners to move quickly over rough rock and root-strewn trails.

The upper is reinforced along the base of the shoe to help keep trail debris from entering the interior. Finally, the Gel FujiTrabuco Sky trail model features elastic laces for added comfort and easy adjustments on the fly.

A key design element is the placement of small holes in the sole and sockliner, which use the natural motion of the foot to push water quickly and efficiently out of the shoe and away from the foot. The outsole features a trail-specific traction pattern with lugs precisely oriented on the medial side for the uphills and under the heel and lateral side for the descents. The outsole rubber formulation is also specifically designed to grip even better on wet trail surfaces.

Reebok Premier Road Modern Hyper Release Date

Reebok revealed their latest Premier Road Modern back in June in collaboration with fashion brand Kanghyuk.

For 2020, Reebok will be releasing four color options. Designed as a continuation of Reebok’s historic Premier Running collection, a high performance running line first released by the brand in 2005, the new silhouette incorporates different elements and gestures from past Premier Running models into a contemporary lifestyle design.

Both the Black and White colorways feature a one-piece flow molded upper, with molded foam tongue, toe & heel, and transparent mono mesh side walls. The Marathon Red and Marathon Blue colorways are inspired by traditional marathon running shoes with bright colors. Design highlights the juxtaposition between modern and conventional – fabrication vs. tradition.

Flight Club Partners with Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi for Sneaker Auction

Flight Club is partnering with Sue Bird of the Seattle Storm and Diana Taurasi of the Phoenix Mercury to auction off their game-worn and signed Nike Kyrie 6 and LeBron 17, respectively, to support the movement combating police brutality against Black women.

The two WNBA athletes and UCONN alums will auction off their sneakers on Flight Club’s Instagram to raise funds and awareness of the movement, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Breonna Taylor Foundation. More than four months have gone by without the arrest of the officers involved in the killing of Breonna Taylor in Louisville, KY. Each shoe up for auction bears the names of Black women who have lost their lives at the hands of police brutality.

The auction will run from August 17th at 11AM ET to August 21st at 11AM ET. All bids must take place in the comments of the dedicated grid posts. Flight Club will announce the winner on their Instagram Story on Saturday, August 22nd at 11AM ET.
