Sneaker Talk: OVO x Air Jordan 16 Sample

Published on

The OVO x Air Jordan 16 “White/Black/Infrared” Sample remains one of the rarest Drake collaborations to ever surface. First seen years ago as part of the OVO inner circle’s exclusive stash, this unreleased sample takes the silhouette Michael Jordan wore during his second return to the NBA and gives it a modern twist.

Originally launched in 2001, the Air Jordan 16 marked MJ’s comeback with the Washington Wizards, standing out for its removable shroud and luxury design cues. This OVO version keeps that DNA alive with a crisp white patent leather toe, black suede overlays, and a flashy infrared outsole paired with yellow midsole hits that recall early-2000s energy.

Inside, Drake’s October’s Very Own (OVO) touch is unmistakable — a gold owl logo graces the footbed. Like past OVO x Jordan releases, this one blurs the line between sport and luxury.

Only a handful of these pairs exist, making them a collector’s dream. On resale platforms like GOAT, prices reflect their rarity — a size 11.5 lists around $3,309, while a size 12 goes for about $1,834.

Which OVO x Jordan collab do you think deserves a wider release?
