The classic “Forest Gump” colorway of the Nike Cortez is now releasing as the new NikeLab Roshe Cortez, that combines both classic Cortez and Roshe DNA.
Founded in the 1960s by Phil Knight and legendary Oregon track coach Bill Bowerman, the running-centric Blue Ribbon Sports would go onto become Nike in the early ‘70s. Now, the new design’s insole features classic BRS insignia; a nod to the Swoosh’s humble origins and the Cortez’s storied history.
The reimagined, hybrid design combines the iconic lines of the original Cortez runner with the modern comfort of the Roshe One in the form of natural motion tooling.
Look for the Nike Roshe Cortez to release on Thursday, June 18th to select NikeLab locations worldwide.
