Nike is once again paying tribute to its heritage by releasing an upcoming Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% inspired by the brand’s original name, Blue Ribbon Sports (BRS).

For those that may be familiar with the name, Nike was originally founded on January 25, 1964, as Blue Ribbon Sports (BRS), by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight, and officially became Nike, Inc. on May 30, 1971.

This release comes dressed in a White, Team Royal, and Orange Peel color scheme. It features an engineered woven mesh upper covered in artwork and texts that includes, “by runners, for runners” on the lateral side, “Santa Monica” and “3107” on the heel sides – as a nod to the brand’s first office on 3107 Pico Blvd, and the BRS logo stamped along the forefoot to name a few.
