The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Gym Red” is another effort to get the spotlight on Nike’s most nostalgic tech-runner. This colorway dips straight into the shoe’s early-2000s DNA with a brash mix of Gym Red mesh, metallic silver overlays, and chrome Swooshes. It’s like a direct homage to loud runner palettes of the era, while still fitting comfortably in the streetwear lane of today.

The multi-layered cage, ribbed side panels, and breathable mesh windows all make a return unchanged, retaining the silhouette’s authenticity. The upper is dominated by bold hues while sail accents on the midsole and lining help soften the overall aesthetic, while also adding a lightly weathered touch. Accents like reflective trim and a glossy heel counter help the pair stand out without going too far away from the Vomero’s signature identity.

Below, the dual-density Cushlon foam and Zoom Air combination remains unchanged. The black and red outsole caps it all off, providing the pair with reliable traction for everyday use. The colorway hits a nice spot as well – vibrant enough to garner some attention but also rooted in a tried and true formula that is no stranger to fans.

The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Gym Red” is scheduled to release December 24, 2025 for $170 USD through Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com.
