The Nike Vomero 5 “Black Patent” takes a familiar model and gives it an unexpected shine.

The shoe sticks to a dark mix of Black, Metallic Silver, and Anthracite, but the glossy panels instantly change how it feels in hand. It’s the kind of finish you usually see on dressier sneakers, not a tech runner, so it gives the Vomero a different energy right away.

Nike has played in the “stealth runner” lane for years, though this one feels a bit more confident. The patent hits don’t scream for attention, but they definitely catch light in a way past pairs didn’t. Silver branding and a few reflective bits help break up the blackout look so the upper doesn’t turn into one flat block of color.

The Nike Vomero 5 “Black Patent” is expected in Spring 2026 for $160, releasing through the usual Nike.com and select retailers.
