Runners in India are getting a Nike model developed specifically for their market with the new Vegam Run. Priced at ₹3,750, the shoe was built with feedback from Indian athletes for daily runs and everyday use.

Nike took just 55 days to move the Vegam Run from its design brief to a finished product. Footwear development usually takes the company around 18 months, so this release offers an early look at its new “Pace” strategy. The plan gives teams more room to work outside that longer development schedule.

The shoe pairs a lightweight mesh upper with a thick foam midsole and rubber outsole. Comfort and durability are the focus, with a design intended to stay useful after a run ends. At ₹3,750, it also comes in well below the brand’s premium running shoes.

Nike has been outlining bigger plans for India, including a new headquarters in Bengaluru. CEO Elliott Hill discussed that expansion during the company’s latest earnings call. The Vegam Run adds a locally developed, lower-priced option to that effort.

The Nike Vegam Run releases November 1, 2026, through partnering retailers in India and Flipkart for ₹3,750. More markets will get the shoe in 2027, though locations and launch dates are still to come.
