Foamposites are starting to show up in places far beyond the retro basketball aisle. After influencing newer Nike Basketball models, the molded material is now making its way into other sports, including tennis and football.
The latest example is the Nike Vaporposite Pro, a performance cleat that borrows its look from some of the most recognizable Foamposite colorways. Following the earlier “Pearl” edition, Nike is preparing two additional pairs dressed in Game Royal and University Red.
Neither cleat is a direct copy of the original Foamposite releases. The uppers skip the familiar metallic shine, while the shades have been adjusted for the football design. Still, both pairs keep the color-blocking easy to recognize, pairing the bold molded shells with contrasting white Swooshes along the sides.
Underfoot, the Vaporposite Pro is built for the field rather than the hardwood. Its cleated outsole gives the Foamposite-inspired upper a true game-ready setup, continuing Nike’s push to use the material across different performance categories.
The Nike Vaporposite Pro “Game Royal” and “University Red” will release July 30, 2026. Each pair will be priced at $210.
