The Sunburst logo was developed in 1972 while considering how to translate the asymmetry of a single Swoosh to apparel.

The circular nature of the design allowed for club names to be arched over it — a regular conceit in collegiate and sportswear graphics of the era. The Sunburst Pack places this logo on the Nike Air Force 1, Air Max 97, Air Max Plus and React Element 55.
