The Nike ST Charge has been around for only a short time, but its release story has already changed quite a bit. After debuting during NBA All-Star Weekend, the performance model was first expected to remain exclusive to China, where outdoor basketball is a big part of the game. Pairs eventually started showing up in the U.S., while Cade Cunningham has also spent time playing in the shoe ahead of his own signature model.

Durability is a big part of how the ST Charge is built, especially with the rugged outsole made to handle tougher playing surfaces. Mesh covers much of the upper, while the wraparound “Monster Skin” layer adds more structure and protection around the lower half of the shoe. A drop-in midsole sits inside, rounding out a setup designed with regular on-court use in mind.

“Punch Red” gives the Nike ST Charge a much brighter look, covering the mesh and Monster Skin sections in red across most of the shoe. Black is worked into the branding and drop-in midsole, while translucent icy sections underneath break up the darker finish along the bottom. There isn’t much else competing for attention, leaving the red upper to carry most of the colorway.

The Nike ST Charge “Punch Red” is already available in China, with a U.S. release expected in the coming weeks.
