Nike To Release Shoe Dog Hoodies

A small terrier dressed head to toe in Nike gear is showing up on a new kids hoodie for Holiday 2026. The character stands with its hands in its pockets while wearing a “Just Do It” cap, Swoosh hoodie, sweatpants, and a pair of Air Force 1s.

The look is hard to separate from Ralph Lauren’s Polo Bear, which has been dressed in different outfits since its debut in 1991. Over the years, the Polo Bear became one of the label’s most recognizable graphics, especially within streetwear, and Nike has never really used a mascot in the same way.

There is another possible reference here as well. Artist Phillip Banks’ “Chill Guy” illustration went viral in late 2023 and also features a casually dressed dog standing with its hands in its pockets. The Nike version does not carry the same expression, though, and appears closer to the straight-faced pose associated with the Polo Bear.

Only the kids hoodie has surfaced so far, so there is no indication yet that Nike plans to build a larger series around the character. If more pieces do follow, different outfits and sneakers would give the brand plenty of room to expand the idea.

The Nike Shoe Dog Hoodie is expected to release during Holiday 2026.
