Nike SFB Boot Now Available in Three New Colorways

Published on

When winter really hits, shoes become functional overnight. Salt travels up your pant leg, sidewalks freeze over, and you suddenly find yourself considering where you’re stepping. The Nike Special Field Boot exists in that world. It’s a smart purchase, not a fashion statement. First introduced in 2009, the Special Field Boot subtly steered Nike in a tougher, military-driven direction throughout the 2010s. There was never any fanfare. Just good design.

Leather and suede covers the forefoot, eyelets and heel while ballistic nylon reinforces the tongue and tall collar allowing the boot to stand up to inclement weather. Inside a cushy foam midsole straps to a sticky rubber waffle outsole. Speaking of slippery, that rubber will prove beneficial when everything else is covered in ice. Rounding out the design are metal eyelets and two tire pull tabs down the boot’s spine as well as subtle tongue labeling.

The three colorways each carry a slightly different attitude. Rough Green/Bamboo-Umber leans into camo cues without going full army surplus. Golden Beige/Sail feels warmer, closer to workwear. Triple Black, on the other hand, reads clean, sharp, and tactical. Fully waterproof, it’s clearly built for real winter, not just the look of it.

The Nike SFB Boot is available now via Nike.com and select retailers for $155.
