Sneaker Talk: Nike SB Dunk Low “Money Cat”

Published on

The Nike SB Dunk Low “Money Cat” reflects the Maneki Neko that’s also known as Welcoming Cat, Lucky Cat, Money Cat or Fortune Cat.

Inspired by a Japanese sculpture that depicts a cat beckoning with an upright paw, that’s typically displayed in stores, restaurants, pachinko parlors and other businesses to give them what’s believed to be good luck to the owner.

This Nike SB Dunk Low features a Gold suede base and synthetic back that includes Red stitching seen throughout for a nice added touch. The colors used on this design were done by James Keoni Arizumi and Triplett.

How many of you guys were able to scoop these up back in ’07? If not, are you hoping Nike Skateboarding recreates them for another release? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
