Nike SB Dunk Low “Black History Month” Releases February 2025

Published on

In February 2025, Nike honors Black History Month (BHM) with a striking reinterpretation of the Nike SB Dunk Low, inspired by the legacy of Black cowboys in Western history. Marking the first BHM-themed SB Dunk release in ten years, this design blends cultural storytelling with bold aesthetics.

This release sports a vibrant Tourmaline green upper contrasted by Monarch orange piping, Baroque Brown accents, and a striking red outsole. The intricate details pay homage to Western motifs, featuring Sonora-style embroidery along the heel, a Western star, and “NIKE” branding designed to resemble a lassoed rope. The yellow-printed insoles depict a cowboy silhouette riding through a sunset-lit desert, adding depth to the narrative. Completing the theme, the shoe comes with a yellow handkerchief that reads, “What’s gonna happen is gonna happen”—a nod to the resilience of those who lived through the hardships of Western frontier life.
