Nike SB is expanding its catalog once again, introducing the Nike SB Air Force 1 “Flax” as part of its upcoming 2026 lineup. After exploring crossovers like the SB Air Max 95, this marks the brand’s first-ever skate-built take on the Air Force 1.
At first glance, the silhouette retains its familiar shape, but this project might be Nike SB’s boldest conversion yet. Skaters typically look for better board feel—something the AF1’s thick midsole isn’t known for. Still, as seen with past SB Jordan 4 and SB Air Max 95 launches, these redesigns attract both skaters and collectors alike. Adding authenticity, SB team rider Eric Koston has been spotted testing the pair, suggesting genuine skate performance updates beneath the surface.
Dressed in the beloved “Flax/Wheat/Gum Light Brown” palette, the shoe channels the iconic AF1 “Workboot” aesthetic from the early-2000s era. Premium nubuck uppers, tonal stitching, and black Nike SB Air branding on the heel tie the heritage look together. A gum outsole finishes the design with rugged appeal, making it ready for fall sessions or everyday wear.
