The Nike Pegasus Premium “Black/Hot Lava” continues Nike’s push toward premium performance runners with visible innovation. Built on the Pegasus lineage, this colorway leans technical rather than flashy. The blacked-out upper sets a serious tone, while Hot Lava accents add controlled contrast.

Black mesh covers both halves of the upper, paired with a wide-knit toebox for airflow. Ripstop panels reinforce the toe and lower sidewalls, a practical choice for high-mileage runners. Compared to earlier Pegasus models, this build feels more structured and deliberate.

The midsole stacks ZoomX and ReactX foam around a full-length Air Zoom unit. That setup delivers bounce without sacrificing stability. Hot Lava tinting inside the Air Zoom bubble gives the cushioning a subtle visual edge.

Elsewhere, some reflective silver accents appear on the laces and tongue to add visibility in low-light conditions.
