Nike Basketball and LeBron James are bringing back a nostalgic favorite with a modern twist. The new Nike LeBron 21 Prime 96 “Varsity Red” merges the flair of Deion Sanders’ Diamond Turf line with LeBron’s performance-driven legacy.

Inspired by the iconic Air DT Max 96, this hybrid silhouette honors its roots with a white leather upper contrasted by fiery Varsity Red overlays and black accents. Golden mini Swooshes elevate the design, while bold flames wrap around the midsole in signature DT fashion. However, this updated version utilizes the LeBron 21 tooling, including full-length Zoom cushioning for advanced court comfort and responsiveness.

Notable features include the DT Max-inspired midfoot strap, molded upper panels, and a custom LeBron crown logo on the tongue—cementing the union between the King and Prime Time.

Nike LeBron 21 Prime 96 Release Date

The Nike LeBron 21 Prime 96 “Varsity Red” will release on April 25, 2025, at select Nike Basketball retailers in-store, online, and via Nike.com. Retail is set at $200 USD and will be available in men’s sizing.
