The inspiration to this “Wheat” edition of the Nike LeBron 12 goes back to when King James told Nike that he could play in anything, even the Timberland Boot. The shoe was actually designed for LeBron to wear during the 2004 Slam Dunk Contest, but he instead debuted them in the 2004 Got Milk? Rookie Challenge game.
The shoe features a full Wheat nubuck upper, including a Wheat Hyperposite overlay with a Gold Nike Swoosh on the sides sitting atop the Megafuse outsole. Other details to the shoe include a tribute to the date and year LeBron James wore the Nike Air Zoom Generation “Wheat” back in 2004.
