Another Kobe shoe is already on the calendar for 2027. The Nike Kobe NXT is expected to show up in two forms, including a Prototype version and the Kobe NXT 1.0.

Nike Kobe VP/GM Dan Sunwoo said the project was something Bryant started before his death in 2020 and that the brand plans to finish what the two sides had already begun. The shoe was recently teased during the 2026 Mamba Invitational in Los Angeles, where its outsole appeared as part of artist TYP’s “Sole Obsession” installation alongside soles from earlier Kobe models.

According to Kicks Finder, there will be two versions of the shoe. The Nike Kobe NXT Prototype is expected to retail for $410, while the Kobe NXT 1.0 is reportedly priced at $210 and will release in multiple colorways.

Details on the performance setup are still limited, but the NXT line has historically been used for more experimental Kobe models. Previous releases introduced features like 360-degree Flyknit and Nike’s FastFit lacing system. The newly teased outsole appears to move away from traditional herringbone traction in favor of a cleaner straight-line pattern.

The Kobe NXT name also has some history within Bryant’s signature series, showing up on models released after his NBA retirement. This next version appears to be more meaningful, though, since Nike says it traces back to an unfinished project Bryant personally worked on.

Nike Kobe NXT Release Date

The Nike Kobe NXT Prototype and Kobe NXT 1.0 are currently expected to release in Summer 2027. The Prototype is reportedly priced at $410, while the NXT 1.0 will retail for $210. Official release details have yet to be announced.
