Nike Kobe 9 EM “Philippines”

It appears that the best Nike Kobe 9 EM has ties to the Philippines. The design pays tribute to the Philippines’ iconic mode of transport, the jeepney as well as painted lines and floors of local barangay courts inform the graphic elements and color of the upper. A sketch of the “tsinelas” is integrated into the translucent outsole and serves as a wink at how much Filipinos love the game of basketball.

We still have no word on a US release date, but if you can remember last year’s Nike Kobe PP models ended up releasing to Foot Locker. Stay tuned to Sneaker Bar for more updates.
