As March Madness approaches, Nike has unveiled a special edition Nike Kobe 9 EM Duke PE for the Duke Blue Devils women’s basketball team. While not set for retail release, this exclusive player edition will be worn during their NCAA tournament run.
The Kobe 9 EM Duke PE sports a white mesh upper with Flywire cables for lockdown support. The Swoosh, midsole, and Flywire accents come in Duke’s signature blue, while the outsole and lining feature black contrasts. Branding details include Kobe Bryant’s signature logo on the right tongue and Duke’s “D” emblem on the left tongue, adding a team-specific touch.
Nike has been teasing a resurgence of the Kobe 9 in 2025, with major releases like the “Moonwalker”, “Beethoven”, and “China” Protros on the horizon.
However, these Duke PEs remain exclusive to the team, continuing Nike’s tradition of supplying college programs with highly coveted sneakers.
