Vanessa Bryant’s latest Kobe 6 Protro reveal has sneaker fans piecing together the story behind the bold “Polka Dot” Pack.
The two-pair set was first shared without much context, leaving people to guess where the idea came from. Now, the theme appears to point toward Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, a fitting connection given the Bryant family’s longtime love for Disney and Disneyland.

One pair comes dressed in white with red polka dots covering the upper, while the other flips the look with a bright red base and oversized white circles. The colors and pattern instantly bring Disney’s most recognizable couple to mind, especially when tied back to Vanessa and Kobe’s personal history.
That connection feels even more meaningful because Vanessa has often shared memories from family trips to Disneyland since Kobe’s passing. Kobe also had his own ties to Disney through various appearances during and after his NBA career. One of the clearest references came on what would have been Kobe’s 42nd birthday, when Vanessa shared a photo of the two and wrote, “Kobe will always be the Mickey to my Minnie.”

The “Polka Dot” Pack also fits the personal direction behind several of Vanessa’s recent Kobe footwear reveals. The Kobe 5 “Eagles”, for example, connects back to Kobe’s support for Philadelphia’s NFL team.
As of now, Nike has not announced release details for the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Polka Dot” Pack. A launch sometime in 2027 remains possible, but nothing has been confirmed.
