UPDATE 11/27/25: Official photos of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Lower Merion Aces” have been added below in grade school sizing. Expect the pair to release on March 23, 2026, priced at $200 USD.
Original Story 5/20/25:
Nike has reissued the Kobe 5 Protro “Lower Merion Aces Away” for Spring 2026, which celebrates Kobe Bryant’s high school career.
First released in 2010, the Kobe Bryant signature basketball shoe is a tribute to his time at Lower Merion High School in Pennsylvania. The shoe is coming back to life in Metallic Silver, Team Red, and White, reminiscent of the school’s original team colors and classic design.
The sneaker is designed for players looking for high performance and fashion-forward sneakers. It’s composed of a synthetic upper with Flywire cables for a snug lockdown and a mesh collar for comfort. Zoom Air cushioning and Cushlon foam underfoot provides a soft, cushioned feel for a responsive and smooth ride.
There is also the school’s spade-shaped Aces logo on the heel of the shoe and Kobe’s signature sheath logo on the tongue, paying homage to Kobe’s impact on the game.
