A Better Look At The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “EYBL”

Published on

Nike’s EYBL series is adding another Kobe Bryant favorite to its lineup with a new Kobe 5 Protro colorway. The pair recently surfaced for the first time, offering an early preview of what could become one of the more talked-about player-exclusive Kobes of 2026.

New images now offer a closer look at the Nike Kobe 5 Protro “EYBL,” highlighting the shoe’s layered color blocking, EYBL tongue branding, and translucent outsole in greater detail.

The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “EYBL” uses a bold mix of earthy and electric tones across the low-cut silhouette. Olive green covers much of the upper, including the toe, tongue, side panels, and heel. That muted base gives the shoe a rugged look before the brighter accents take over.

Neon yellow brings energy to the forefoot overlays, lace collar, and laces, while mango orange hits the Swoosh, lining, and parts of the midsole. The tongue also features EYBL branding, tying the shoe back to Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball League and its next-generation hoops platform.

A gradient midsole blends the yellow and orange shades together, creating one of the shoe’s strongest visual details. The newer images also provide a better look at the metallic heel counter, Kobe’s signature on the back, and the icy translucent outsole finished with Kobe branding underfoot. These close-up angles give the pair more depth while keeping the focus on its bold EYBL color story.

Nike has not announced release details for the Nike Kobe 5 Protro “EYBL” at this time. Since EYBL pairs are often made for athletes and not sold to the public, this colorway could remain exclusive unless Nike confirms a wider launch later. Additional updates will be shared as more details become available.
