The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Dodgers” is set to bring another Los Angeles-inspired chapter to Kobe Bryant’s signature line in Fall 2026. Following the Kobe 6 “Dodgers” from 2025, this upcoming release continues that connection to the city and its baseball culture, this time through one of the most popular Kobe silhouettes ever made.

Dressed in a bold Dodger blue finish, the pair pulls clear inspiration from the team’s classic uniform colors. Grey and white Swooshes run across the side panels, nodding to the home jerseys, while red baseball-style stitching near the heel adds the detail that really drives the concept home. That contrast gives the sneaker a sharper identity and keeps it from feeling like just another simple team-themed colorway.

Newly surfaced images also provide a better look at the shoe’s finer details. Along with the stitched heel treatment, the pair features Kobe branding on the outsole, his signature on the heel, and a clean overall build that lets the baseball influence stand out without overpowering the model. It is a straightforward theme, but one that feels natural given Kobe’s deep ties to Los Angeles.

One of the more personal details tied to this release was the reported insole graphic referencing Kobe’s final Dodgers game appearance. However, these newly surfaced early images do not show that graphic, instead revealing a clean blue insole with Kobe branding. It is still possible the final retail pair could include additional storytelling elements, so that detail may become clearer as more images continue to surface.

The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Dodgers” is currently expected to release on September 8, 2026 through select Nike Basketball retailers and Nike.com for $190 USD.

With its LA theme, strong storytelling, and fan-favorite silhouette, this is already shaping up to be one of the more talked-about Kobe drops of Fall 2026.
