The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Dodgers” leans into one of Los Angeles’ biggest sports connections, taking the city’s baseball colors and working them into Kobe Bryant’s signature line. Most of the shoe comes dressed in Dodger blue, with a few baseball-inspired details mixed in throughout.
Blue covers the upper from front to back, while a snakeskin-like texture shows up around the support panels and eyestays. The heel gets one of the best details on the pair, with red stitching that looks like the seams on a baseball.
White is used on the Kobe sheath logo on the tongue and around the grey Swoosh, helping break up all the blue. The color combination stays pretty close to the Dodgers’ usual look without turning the shoe into a full team-branded release.
Early samples showed Kobe photo insoles, but that detail won’t make it onto the retail pair. Official images show a simpler setup inside, with a white sheath logo printed on the insole instead.
