Nike KD 19 “EYBL” Breaks Away From The Model’s One-Color Run

Kevin Durant’s history with summer basketball started well before Nike EYBL grew into the national circuit it is now. In a recent interview with Nike, Durant spoke about what tournament play can teach young players, from handling packed schedules to facing better competition and learning how to respond when the games carry more weight.

Durant had one of his own early breakout moments at a tournament in Maryland. That experience came before the current EYBL setup, but it gave him a firsthand look at how much one strong summer run can change a young player’s path. His connection to Nike’s annual summer program comes from that background, not just his name being attached to the event.

The Nike KD 19 “EYBL” moves away from the mostly one-color releases seen so far. Pale orange covers much of the shoe, tying the design to Peach Jam, while steel blue traces the model’s Z-shaped overlays. Neon green lands on the Swoosh and inside the tongue, giving the pair a sharper finish without crowding the color scheme.

Pairs are expected to stay with players invited to the tournament rather than receive a standard retail launch. A public release date for the Nike KD 19 “EYBL” has yet to be announced.
