The rollout of Ja Morant’s Ja 3 signature shoe continues to feel organic, with early looks surfacing straight from his inner circle instead of traditional leaks. The latest example arrives in a festive “Mardi Gras” colorway, revealed during the celebration by a coach tied to Ja’s Twelve Time program.
Designed with New Orleans energy in mind, the Nike Ja 3 leans into bold contrast and vibrant storytelling. Purple takes over much of the upper and midsole, while hits of gold land on the inner lining and claw-inspired cutouts. Underneath, the base fades from green into yellow, creating a gradient that mirrors classic Mardi Gras tones. A metallic gold Swoosh outlined in green pulls everything together.
At this stage, there’s no confirmation that the Nike Ja 3 “Mardi Gras” will see a public release. Given the timing of the reveal, it’s possible the pair was created as a limited Friends & Family exclusive rather than a wider drop.
Still, with Ja Morant continuing to preview colorways himself, the door remains open for more surprises as the Ja 3 rollout unfolds.
