The Tri-State story first surfaced in subtle fashion. A triangular emblem spotted on early Nike Ja 3 samples quietly nodded to New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. That same regional language now anchors the GT Cut, grounding the shoe in East Coast basketball culture. It’s a smart pivot that lets the design speak without overselling the concept.

This pair also carries real player relevance. Dylan Harper debuted the look during Summer League, placing the spotlight where it belongs. As a New Jersey native shaped by New York’s AAU scene, the connection feels natural. The heel’s “D” logo reads more like a signature stamp than forced branding.
