Chris Musquiz Jr., involved in a life-altering accident, showcased resilience. Despite losing a leg, his Nike Go FlyEase design mirrors his love for Japanese culture. The wave-pattern upper signifies his perfect beach day, with Mt. Fuji’s red kimono lines symbolizing his dream of visiting Japan. His inner sock liner portrays his happy place, chilling with a panda. Chris, a dedicated student, emphasizes intelligence with the phrase “Smarter than you think” and footprints guiding him to his sanctuary.

Nike Go FlyEase Doernbecher Release Date

Set to release on December 2, 2023, the Nike Go FlyEase “Doernbecher” will be available at select Nike Sportswear retailers in-store, online, and Nike.com, priced at $130 USD. This collection not only showcases unique designs but also the inspiring stories of the resilient patient-designers behind them, creating a meaningful connection between fashion and personal narratives.
