FIRST LOOK: Nike Giannis Freak 7

Published on

Nike Basketball continues to evolve its signature lineup, crafting standout models for stars like LeBron James, A’ja Wilson, and Sabrina Ionescu. Recently, Ja Morant took control of his sneaker leaks, and now Giannis Antetokounmpo follows suit, unveiling his Nike Giannis Freak 7 on Instagram.

The Giannis Freak 7 introduces a significant design shift from its predecessor, resembling elements from Kevin Durant’s signature series. Unlike the current trend of low-top basketball shoes, Giannis’ latest model embraces a mid-top build, offering added ankle protection. The upper features textured patterns with exaggerated grooves, while the redesigned outsole showcases his name and jersey number.

A standout colorway, dubbed ‘Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing’, highlights Nike’s storytelling approach. The sneaker’s muted upper conceals aggressive traction, reflecting the deceptive nature of a predator in disguise. The glow-in-the-dark outsole features Giannis’ branding, adding a signature touch to the design.

While Nike has yet to announce an official Giannis Freak 7 release date, the models expected to launch in September 2025 available at Nike.com and select retailers for $110 USD.
