The Nike Free Run silhouette was a defining sneaker of the early 2010s. Lightweight, flexible, and versatile, it became a favorite for both running and everyday wear. In 2014, Nike blended this minimalistic design with Indigenous inspiration, releasing the Nike Free Forward Moc 2 N7.
This special sneaker combined the natural movement of the Free sole with a moccasin-inspired upper, honoring Native American and Indigenous traditions. It was part of Nike’s ongoing N7 initiative, supporting wellness and sport access for Indigenous communities.
For 2025, Nike is bringing back the Free Forward Moc 2 N7 in its original form. The shoe features a black suede and grey textile upper, accented by hand-stitched details and a unique ridged toe overlay. White Free soles provide comfort and flexibility. Teal highlights on the tongue branding, heel stitching, and graphic insoles celebrate nature and culture.
The Nike Free Forward Moc 2 N7 will launch in Summer 2025. Expect it to release at select Nike Sportswear retailers and on Nike.com.
For collectors and fans of innovative, meaningful design, this revival is a chance to own a piece of Nike’s cultural storytelling through footwear.
