Nike Cortez “Jackie Robinson Day” Releases April 2025

Nike is once again celebrating Jackie Robinson Day with a meaningful sneaker release. This year, the classic Nike Cortez takes center stage.

Set to drop on April 15th, 2025, this commemorative pair honors Robinson’s legacy. It also marks MLB’s annual tribute to his league-changing impact.

The Cortez arrives in a clean White and Photon Dust color scheme. It features black accents and red stitching at the heel.

The heel’s bold stitching resembles baseball seams, nodding to Robinson’s game-changing MLB debut in 1947.

But it’s what’s inside that tells the bigger story. The insoles feature the number 42 in 30 fonts, symbolizing every MLB team.

Metallic details include a chrome “42” badge on the tongue and matching lace dubraes, making this pair extra special.

Meanwhile, the heel tabs display the number “4” on the left and “2” on the right—another direct tribute to Robinson.

The Nike Cortez “Jackie Robinson Day” will launch April 15, 2025 on SNKRS at 10 AM ET for $100 USD.

Nike continues to preserve Jackie Robinson’s influence with tasteful and wearable designs that blend heritage and style.
