Nike’s serving up a sneaker that’s as playful as recess and as clean as your mom’s living room plastic couch covers. Enter the Nike Cortez GS “Kangaroo”, dropping Summer 2025.

This version keeps things crisp with a mostly white leather upper, but the Swoosh steals the show. Decked out in green, yellow, and blue plaid, it’s giving back-to-school energy—minus the homework. Those same plaid hits carry over to the heel tab and foam wedge, adding fun without the chaos.

Now for the real kangaroo in the room. Literally. A tie-wearing, sneaker-rocking kangaroo mascot patches in right above the laces. He’s dapper, he’s energetic, and yes, he’s clearly wearing tiny Nikes. There’s also a hidden character peeking out from the plaid Swoosh, because why not?

A velcro strap adds ease for kids who don’t mess with laces, and the classic herringbone outsole keeps grip in check. Meanwhile, pops of lime green and blue give the heel and sole some fresh flavor.
