Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight first met back in 1957, Bill was the track and field coach at the University of Oregon, while Knight competes on Bowerman’s team. They developed such a relationship that they took their track and field knowledge and applied it to creating the iconic Nike Cortez running shoe. Taking part of the model’s latest lineup, the shoe will be returning in a classic “Black/White” colorway.
Dressed in a two-tone Black and White color scheme. This offering of the Nike Cortez features a full Black base constructed with a nylon upper and suede overlays. Other details includes White leather Swooshes and heel tabs with matching White tongue and insole branding. Embroidered “Nike” branded heels atop a White rubber sole completes the design.
