Caitlin Clark recently gave an early look at a new Nike Caitlin 1 colorway tied to a team she has supported for years. The upcoming pair draws from the Kansas City Chiefs, using the team’s familiar red and gold colors across Clark’s first signature sneaker. She has never been shy about being a Chiefs fan either, showing up at games and even swapping jerseys with Kansas City wide receiver Rashee Rice.
The sneaker comes dressed mostly in bright red, with gold worked into the midsole and outsole. Black breaks things up through the oversized Swoosh, while metallic details show up around Clark’s signature branding on the tongue. The colors make the Chiefs connection pretty clear without using official NFL logos or team marks.

Clark has followed Kansas City since she was young, so the colorway fits naturally with the personal approach Nike has taken with the Caitlin 1 so far. Several early pairs have been connected to parts of her life outside basketball instead of feeling like random seasonal color options.
Her friendship with Taylor Swift adds another small connection to Kansas City as well. Swift has become a regular presence around the Chiefs through her relationship with Travis Kelce, and Nike is also expected to release a separate Caitlin 1 inspired by the friendship bracelets closely tied to Swift’s fanbase.
