In January of 1967, Johnson opened a running specialty store, Blue Ribbon Sports (Nike’s original name) at 3107 Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica, California.

This latest offering of the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 pays homage to the BRS space, which reopened on January 25, 2019 as a community space for local runners to gather and talk, just as they did with Johnson in the late ’60s. It comes dressed in a Black, Yellow, and White color blocking detailed with the “BRS” logo on the lateral heel and branded insoles with the left having the address of its original location.
