Nike Basketball is bringing back a true classic with the Nike Air Zoom Flight The Glove “Black/White”, set to return in Fall 2026. Originally released in 1998 and last seen in 2013, this was the shoe that perfectly captured Gary Payton’s unique style on the court — bold, fast, and full of attitude.

Dubbed “The Glove” in reference to Payton’s defensive play, the shoe was most known for its zip-up shroud that encased the entire upper. Functioning as an on-foot hug for the foot, the zipper revealed the inner workings of the shoe’s internal lacing system and its chunky red Monkey Paw support cage.

This 2026 edition stays loyal to the original, pairing a sleek Black neoprene shell with a crisp White toe and Swoosh contrast.
