The Nike Air Zoom Flight The Glove “Lakers” is an ode to Hall-of-Famer Gary Payton’s stint with the Los Angeles Lakers late in his career. We’ve previously seen the Supersonics version as well as the Oregon State version. The same silhouette is present on this one, too: complete with a protective synthetic upper when zippered up and accents shining through the ankle and lacing system when unzipped.

Looking back to when Gary Payton joined the team, signing as a free agent alongside legendary power forward Karl Malone, the Lakers were thinking that they were going to be better than 72-10 — the best regular season record ever. However, that season turned out less than stellar. Lucky for us, these sneakers are quite the opposite.
