The Nike Air Yeezy was the shoe that started the Kanye West sneaker madness as it was Ye’s first shoe to release with Nike.
The “Zen Grey” pair was the first colorway to kick things off back in April 2009. Dressed in a combination of Zen Grey and Light Charcoal color scheme that was highlighted with vibrant Orange and Pink accents. It came constructed in a mix of leather with suede on the mudguard and a patent leather strap that both featured an all-over “Y” print. A White midsole and glow-in-the-dark outsole completed this iconic design.
The Nike Air Yeezy “Net” was the last of the trio of colorways from Kanye West to release back in June 2009. This iteration reflected more of Kanye West’s design tastes.
Constructed with a buttery Tan leather upper, and unlike the other versions, this one goes away with the all-over “Y” print on the strap and heel. Instead, the shoe comes with a patent leather look in Beige, while having suede overlays. Rounding out the design are “Yeezy” pull-tabs, White midsole and glow-in-the-dark outsoles.
